Unfortunately, due to a family medical issue we have to change the dates of the second lesson of the First Reconciliation classes.  They are now scheduled for Wednesday, November 21  from 6:15 - 7:15 PM at the Faith Formation Center in Epworth as well as Sunday, November 25 from  6:15–7:15 PM at the Faith Formation Center in Epworth.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Parents are encouraged to stay.


All 2nd Grade Parents—The FIRST RECONCILIATION CENTERS will be set up at the Faith Formation Center in Epworth on Monday, November 12 and Tuesday, November 13 from 4:00–7:30 PM; Thursday, November 15 from 4:00–7:00 PM and Saturday, November 17 from 8:00-11:30 AM. You and your 2nd grader only need to come to one of the times scheduled.  Plan on spending one hour to complete them.  


We will be having Confirmation in our Pastorate on two different days this November

  • The 1st option is on Sunday, November 18 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Church, Farley. 

  • The 2nd option is on Wednesday, November 28 at 7:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Church, Peosta.  Practice will be on Tuesday, November 20 at 7:00 PM at St. John the Baptist, Peosta.

Both masses are open to the public.



Faith Formation Registration Forms



St. Elizabeth Pastorate is offering a teen mission service trip to St. Louis, MO on July 7-12, 2019, through the Young Neighbors in Action.  This event will offer teens the opportunity to engage in meaningful service, grow in faith, and meet others from all areas of the US. An organizational meeting will be held in January.  If interested in more information or joining the group as a teen or adult chaperone, please contact Dianne McDermott at 563.543.3721. Age limit for teens is out-going ninth graders through out-going seniors. The theme for 2019 is Salt and Light.


A NCYC planning meeting will be held on Monday, December 10 at 7:00 PM in the Faith Formation Center in Epworth.  9th–12th graders are welcome to come. Please bring fundraising ideas and your friends.

 Parish Policy for Sacramental Preparation - All Parishes:

 It is required that a child be enrolled in a Catholic School or a parish Faith Formation program at least one year prior to preparing for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.  Continued enrollment in a Catholic School or a parish Faith Formation program is required for youth who wish to prepare for Confirmation.  If you have children in grades 1-10 who are not attending a parochial school and are not currently enrolled in a parish Faith Formation class, please call 876.5540 to contact Jim Hammerand.
